Experience

Sharon Woods has personally conducted field work across the nation, and her experience reaches from Alaska to Puerto Rico, from California to Maine, and from Washington State to Florida. She is currently serving as an on-call consultant for complex commercial land use strategies in California, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, and Maryland. She has also worked on retail acquisition strategies across Canada and provides pro bono consultation services in Windsor, Ontario.

Sharon serves as a supporting faculty member with the Incremental Development Alliance, which provides small developer workshops and boot-camps across the nation. She is also teamed with a select group of national firms through the Downtown Collaborative, originally founded by Ash & Lime (Dallas), 3BL Strategies (Dallas and New York), and the Project for Public Spaces (New York).

Sharon also travels the nation to meet-up with like-minded urbanists at the CNU’s annual congress. She has attended congresses in Washington DC, Buffalo, Detroit, Savannah, Seattle, and Louisville (2019); and is planning on attending the Congress in 2020 in St Paul. She also serves on the Board of Directors with the Michigan chapter of the CNU.
